Steam connect

Join

1. Use Project Zomboid 42.20 public (Steam → Properties → Betas → none).
2. If the mods are already downloaded, use Steam connect above.
3. Otherwise: Join → Favorites → Add IP 156.146.166.88, port 16261, empty password, Steam Relay off. Save, then Join.

Optional: subscribe ThePeople so Steam pre-downloads mods. The server still sets load order when you connect.

Restarts

A Workshop update can block new joins until the server restarts.

1. Nobody on → it restarts itself.
2. People on → 2 minutes in chat. Type !yes or !no. More than half of whoever is online must vote yes.
3. Type !vote or !restart to start a vote yourself. That already counts as your yes. Say and general chat both count.
4. Pass → about 3 minutes, then it comes back with the update. Fail → no restart, and it will not auto-ask again for that same update. You can still !vote.
5. 8:00 AM Chicago → full workshop refresh, same empty-or-vote rules.
